RE: scouting
I would recommend you go out there at least one weekend, maybe two, trail cameras only tell you so much, dont tell you where they come from, just that they show up in a particular spot, another idea is to use a satellite image to determine funnels and other land featuers to figure where the deer are going to be inclined to head, i know gas is expensive, but youll be wasting more if you just go out there unprepared

Find food sources, and the trails that lead to those sources. This sounds just like a place where i hunt thats a ways away and we only get to go there a few times during the season. Obviously if you've hunted there a few times you know where some deer are, so concentrate on those areas. If you can get there on a friday night(assuming its a weekend trip), stay back a little and just kind of watch the deer to see what it is there doing. Then, saturday morning set up wherever they came out but with little pressure on them if you're close to bedding areas. During mid-day go in to look around(with minimal contact)to find out where you can set a stand for evening hunts. Although you're trying to give little pressure to the animals so they don't react really harshly to the new impact, dont be afraid to get a little agressive and get on them if you're not going to get to hunt much. Not like you have a few weeks to get a feel for them. Get right in there and play your cards for a saturday evening hunt.
