Feathers, tracks, droppings, and where I have seen them in the past. Where I hunt, there always seems to be gobblers / hens in this one wheat field every single time I go out. Naturally I am going to be in that field. I shot my biggest gobbler in that field (approx. 28 lbs, 1.625 inch spurs on left and right, beard one being 10.25 and beard two being 6.5 inches). Turkey are going to be constantly looking for food, so look there, too.

Remember too that there is scouting to check to see if a woods has turkeys and then there is scouting to pattern turkeys in a woods you already know has turkeys, totally two different kinds of scouting.
