Unless Magnus has changed their packaging, it is stated on the "Snuffer" package that the heads must be sharpened before using. I do not know why they distribute the heads totally unsharpened, other than, when you open certain metals by filing, some metals tend to start rusting faster unless treated.
Strut&Rut:
One should not change to the degree of never having an opinion.
The question should always be, does the person's opinion have merit, regardless of loyalties and politics.

Bobco,
Perhaps you merely misunderstood what I stated...
Those at Magnus prefer to just sharpen with a file, and forego the further deburring. I will add, I was asking specifically about WT deer---they may sharpen further for other game species...
c903...well stated

God bless you c903, if nothing else I can sure get you to do some writing
I never said my evaluation was the end all to the snuffer heads. These are my finding based on shooting them over a period of several months as well as from shooting them on and off for several years. I will stand by my findings as they have proven to work time and time again for me. I am not going into all the details but you may want to head over to bowsite.com and read what Ryan Rothhaar ( the son of the man that invented the Snuffers) had to say. He seemed to like the report pretty well

Lord, and I thought he argued way to much about things he never laid his hands on.
Talk about something he actually used, pay the rent, and pull up a chair[
