Has anyone tried the 2 blade Magnus Stingers? Do you know if you need the broadhead adapter to mount the heads into the screw-in inserts? They look like the head I need.

2 blade Stingers are excellent. The only complaint I had about them was the blood trails are not very heavy. They get the job done well, but you need to be good at bloodtrailing. I would probably recommend the 4 blade version over the 2 blade. You can get them in either 85 or 100 grain.

Beagle, the nuge blades are not the same as the Stingers. I agree, the nuge blades do leave awesome blood trails but they require some work to get them sharp and keep them that way. Wet weather is not freindly to them, they will rust in a heartbeat. The Stingers have stainless blades and are much sharper out of the package and much more low maintenance.

If you want a cut-on-contact head that flys very well, the Stingers are a great place to start. They are especially useful for those with lower draw weights. I doubt there are many heads that penetrate better.

I tried the 4 blade Stingers out in March on some hogs and they did an awesome job ! The 1 boar I shot was broadside and his shield was 1.25" thick on each side and I shot right thru. I had a pass thru on the other as well from the ground about 20 yards. Awesome bloodtrails! I hope to down an elk with them this fall !
