Frank, thats interesting. I think the pictures show that in a given circumstance, any camo can be effective. Though I tend to agree that the camo starts to blob up at a distance. If all animals were walking straight toward you with you back against a tree, no one would have a problem with any pattern for the most part. The problems come into the equation when the deer are not moving straight at you. I've been busted time and time again from the side. This is why Predator is my choice from now on. I think its a little better then MO or Realtree in the respect.

I've been trying to get outside with the camera again to take some more pictures of Predator vs. MO Breakup and other designer clothes. I took my first set I posted here in the winter and to be honest, Predator had an unfair advantage with the snow.

I hope maybe this week to start getting some pics.

MM88,

That has basically what I have been saying all along. The funny though is that it always seems that the High Definition guys don't always admit it and neither do the open pattern proponents.

I agree totally. With a light open sky and some branches behind you the open patterns really shine by the very nature of the design. I never argued against that point. But then again even when we are in trees we are not always highlighted by a light background just like not always being highlighted by a dark background when we are on the ground.

thanks frank for the lead on the post a few days earlier. I looked over it and am not impressed with the open models or patterns. I guess when I get my new camo for next year it will be Realtree HD wood or gray whatever the name is. It just wont be the green one do to I already have camo in green for early season. I need my late season stuff. This helped me out with which one to get now I am sure I will be getting Realtree HD woods brown.

See, I would be all fine and good with it if deer really saw in only black and white...

Brian,

I don't have any Realtree Hardwoods patterns...surprisingly. I am more fond of the Advantage Timber as in evidence by the pics. ...though I do try to keep an open mind.

Washington Hunter,

I agree....if only deer did see in just black and white.
