Hi fellas,
This is my first post, I really like your forum - friendly and informative unlike some other places on the web. I work in a bowshop during the summer and fall when business picks up, so I guess bows have always been in my life.
Anyhow, MATTHEWS if looks like from the pictures that your nock point is a little off or the rest isn't dropping fast enough. Try a bowsquare and see if the nock isn't out a little. Either way, the tail of the arrow is diving when it leaves the string.
Thanks, Pleasure to see all of you!

Thanks Washington Hunter for the pics. I am a hoyt vipertec with the quicktune and the feather up and my arrows are definetly making contact with the arrow holder. I am going to trim it down a little like elk freak 99 said. Pa Bowhunter that is a real good point about the drop away dropping to fast, how would you remedy this, obviously by some type of tension?

HEY MATTHEWS I,m not far from you Greensburg pa.
I had so much trouble with that rest I took it back hope you have better luck then I did on my mathews the big problem i had with that rest was the fletching hitting the cable of the rest I guess because of the close brace & the string I was ripping my feathers apart good luck. got a muzzy never had a problem.. on my ovation I got a drop away i love it too . setup in seconds.

HEY FELLAS,
I SHOOT A BOWTECH EXTREME SOLO, WITH A NAP QUICKTUNE 2000 DROP AWAY. I SHOOT COCK FEATHER DOWN AND I WAS GETTING CONTACT WHERE THE PRONGS MOUNT ON THE REST. I REMEDIED THIS SITUATION BY PAPER TUNING MY BOW SO IT SHOOTS BULLET HOLES AND I HAVE NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER NOW. MY BOW IS A PRETTY FAST BOW SO WHEN THE ARROW WAS COMING OFF THE STRING IT WAS SHOOTING NOCK LOW VERY BAD AND THUS MAKING A LOT OF CONTACT WITH MY REST. I SAW A LOT OF SUGGESTIONS ON THIS TOPIC BUT I DIDN'T SEE A SINGLE HINT OF ANYONE PAPER TUNING THEIR BOW TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. PAPER TUNE YOUR BOW AND THEN SEE IF THAT HELPS.
