I'm in the market for a new release this coming sesason and was wonderin what everyone recommends? I've always used the glove style and have looked at the Tru Bal hunter gloves and like the looks of them alot. But I'm no against trying just a wrist strap style. I will shooting with a string loop also.

I would recommend one of the Scott releases. They have adjustable trigger tension, built like a tank and extremely reliable. I use the mongoose and a lot of the guys on here use the little goose. I think the model depends a lot on your hand size. I have bigger hands and don't like the smaller little goose. It is a caliper type release and works very well with a loop. I would recommend staying away from a velcro strap, I had one and didn't like it. The buckle works much better. When the velcro starts getting worn it will pop off at about half draw, this can lead to some interesting consequences.

I have a Tornado, by Tru Ball. really like it. comfortable, smooth, and hardly any tension needed to send the arrow flying.

I shoot the True Fire X-Caliper . . . it is great. I have to options to release the arrow . . . 1) Traditional Pull to release and 2) Relax triger pressure to fire [my favorite it is like the back tension release].

TRU FIRE hurricane glove is by far the smoothest and most comfortable release I have ever used. IMO that glove as far more comfortable than any other glove on the market. I much prefer a glove to the wrist style releases because it distributes the pulling and holding weight into the palm of your hand rather than puting it all on your wrist. If you like gloves like I do you should absolutely try this one.

Tru-ball, scott, or winn free flight. No particular order, but those three releases will cover any of your needs, just go try them all out and see which one suits your preference.
