I would recommend one of the Scott releases. They have adjustable trigger tension, built like a tank and extremely reliable. I use the mongoose and a lot of the guys on here use the little goose. I think the model depends a lot on your hand size. I have bigger hands and don't like the smaller little goose. It is a caliper type release and works very well with a loop. I would recommend staying away from a velcro strap, I had one and didn't like it. The buckle works much better. When the velcro starts getting worn it will pop off at about half draw, this can lead to some interesting consequences.
