I see I'm making lots of friends here! I appreciate your reply, MT elk addict. If you are who you say you are (always a big ???) on the wild wild internet, then obviously I'm a little off base. I still reserve the right to be suspicious of things that look too good to be true.

If I could meet him today, I'd shake his hand and thank him for all he has done for Bowhunting. I've read a lot of his work, and in my profession a phrase that comes to mind is, he'd do to ride the river with.

I'd be happy with one or two of his endorsements but he can keep the bow though.
Is it my eyes and age or is his bow three feet taller than he is?
The accomplishment that most impressed me is his Kodiak encounter.
An Elk is an Elk is an Elk. Something that big and old needs to stay in the herd awhile IMO. Spikes taste good too.
