Vertical vs Hortiz vs Dot
#1
I was searching through an hunting gear catalog when i came across the bowsights. I noticed, at least that some shooters who use hortiz. pin set ups. I knew of the Dot pin sight but my question is how much more effective would it be against an vertical or hortiz pin set up?. If somebody wants to use this as a poll as well then go right ahead. Thank you for replies in advance

Tried the vertical with my cosmic sight but had trouble seeing the target with the pin getting in the way. Went to horizontal and have no trouble anymore. But with that said, I would probably fair better with the dot. Nothing to get in the way of seeing the target completely except the dot, which should be on the spot you pick to shoot at anyway. Good luck!!!

i've sahot both and they both have their advantages but to me i get a better sight picture with horizontal pins and use the copper john deadnuts hunter 3 pin and have been very happy with it. now for spots and some 3d i will use the scope with drilled and set up with either .019 or .029 fiber

I use to shoot horizontal pins until I tried vertical. To me it's a lot more like shooting a scope. Plus you don't have all those pin arms blocking out half the target. I've also shot a one pin system but like the three pin better.

I shoot horizontal pins now and never had a complaint about them. But I just ordered a Cobra Easy Slide where the pin can be set either way. I'm looking forward to shooting the vertical pin and seeing the difference.
