Making arrows float
#1
My friends and I are going to go after some nutria rats. They live in a pond. I shoot them with arrows. After I hit them I need something to tell me where they are like a bobber sort of. When I would shoot in the water, would the arrow skip? Thanks

I have put many an alum arrow into the water behind my parents house (many[:'(])
They always floated and I would just start up my aquasport and go get em
They never skipped - but I was shooting a Mathews back then - so they where heading straight down by the time they hit the water[8D]

How about one of those string tracker things? Game tracker makes one for about 12 bucks. They have 1000 yards of string so just cut it off for each shot.
