I couldnt give you a very good evaluation of the grounds you hunt since I have never scouted it or even seen it. But it sounds like to me that you should find out where they bed down, what trails the deer use to get to the bedding area and to the fedding areas. Just scout it out and maybe read some on T.R Michels notes on deer bahavior. Sorry I cant add more but I cant explain it very good without seeing it.Good Luck!

If you are bowhunting and the deer are not pressured they will be easy to pattern. Set up accordingly, see what time they are coming to the field and from where. If they are coming later close to dusk or there after you need to get in a stagging area in a ways from the field. That buck will be holding up close by until dark. Whats in the field? I assume a food source but what? [:-]

Small acreage often= good hunting. Being so small, scout that baby seriously. Do a lot of glass work from a distance. Feeding times scout the wooded area scent free. Good luck and keep me posted. I'm always willing to make suggestions. Also check T.R.'s site. He is a fountain of knowledge.

First i would check out what types of oaks are there. Try to figure out which trees the deer like best. Right now the deer are rooting their nose's through the leaves looking for acorns and it is very noticeable. I have noticed that deer feed through oak woods but stop and linger under certain trees. In my woods deer prefer the white oak, especially cow oaks and overcups. Find these trees and get the wind in your favor.
