Default Camo clothing question....

I'm looking to buy a rain/sun/light snow camo pant/jacket combo. There are so many out there that I thought I would listen to the opinions of my fellow hunters. I will mostly be hunting out west, but also making at least 2 trips to NY to hunt as well. I'm looking at Cabelas Rain Suede Packable Rainwear. Anybody used it? Performance? Quietness?
I'm also looking at some Natural Gear Camo, it's called the Uninsulated Waterproof parka along with the 4x4 concealment Pants. Same questions as above.
I would like something to wear in the Spring as well in the winter as an out layer on warmer winter days. I need it to be very quiet and breathable. Is there anything else on the market that is worth looking at? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

becareful on some of those warmer winter days and the 'waterproof' materials....some of it gets pretty dang loud in the colder climates (ie saddle cloth). I prefer my ASAT camo in polar fleece. So far it has worked great from Mn to Missouri and Alaska! My preditor also is fine camo but its a shame I only have one set of woolens. Its kind of tough to find a perfect layer for all hunt situations where layering is more important. Find a camo you like and get a rain outfit you like...thats what I would do, take them both. Usually I have a small back pack on or a big fanney pack to carry a light rain jacket....works for me anyways. Up here I have a frame pack on with the essentails, water purifier, long undies, change or two of socks, first aid kit, extra food, space blanket, if I get really crazy the army issued poncho with the poncho liner makes a great makeshift bivy using the space blank as an inbetween or on the outside to prevent tears in your poncho, and of course my rain jacket. I am looking into helle hansons equipment and the mt50. A couple of the local guides (make there sole living guiding hunters and fisher folks) dont recommend the mt50 for use up here, when your life depends on staying dry they all have shunned it saying there clients usually end up wet!

Aaaaa, don't listen to Lilhunter..<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>... There is nothing wrong with the Saddlecloth...but fleece (polyester) is definitely quieter. I wouldn't go with the cotton/polyester blend fleece because it fades too easily. Make sure it is 100% polyester....because if the camo pattern fades then it doesn't matter what style you choose.

I have some of Cabelas Rain Suede and I would recommend it. It used their &quot;Dry Plus&quot; membrane to repel water. Realtree Xtra Brown might not be a bad choice.....but Breakup might be a better choice if you are going to use it for snowy conditions as well.

I own a set of the Rain Suede packables and I like them quite a bit. I also wear the jacket as an outer layer during the snowy late elk hunt; it is quiet in the cold, IMO. Three improvements could be made to them: 1) they are a little difficult to &quot;pack&quot; into their own pockets. It can be done if pack space is critical, but I usually just wad them up in the bottom of my day pack. 2) I don't like hoods and the jacket has a nonremovable hood. It fills with junk like twigs, snow and dirt as I still hunt. 3) They catch on fire pretty easy, but that probably was my fault looking back on it...

Well I hope not to find out about the fire thing unless it's a total emergency.
Does anyone have any input on the Natural Gear? I'm really leaning towards it. Out here in SoCal it's cool in the morning (at least for us Californians it is) so I would like something to wear then take off as it gets warm. Also, when it rains it's not usually cold. Thanks again.
