The three S's . Shoot, Shovel, Shut up.
A word to the wise. Game departments often put transmitter tracking devices in
endangered or protected animals such as wolves and bears. Kill one and bury it in your back yard and the MAN may be knocking on your door in a couple of weeks with a shovel and a warrant. It happened to a man here in Florida.
He shot two black bears that were tearing up his deer feeders and buried them both on the property with a backhoe. 3 weeks later the Game and Fish Law shows up and digs em up. The Transmitters hadnt moved in a couple of weeks so they went out to investigate.[]The man who shot the bears went to jail.

You need to make the right decision for you ! First ask yourself will the DNR help get rid of them or will they ignore the situation If they're going to ignore it then you must do the job yourself .I have small children and if the wolves were coming that close to my home I'd be doing something about it but first I'd ask advice from the DNR and go from there .

OK Here's what you do-- First , the three S's. If there's a transmitter on any of them, find it, take it off, and bury it in front of the nearest PETA office

Thats a tough call. I like wolves and wouldn't want to break the law but if my family was in jeopardy I'd act quick. Peasonally I contact DNR and if results are slow coming I'd find a way to kill them. Tainted meat will do the job and they probably wont be in the back yard when the finally drop. Thus saving you the trouble of explaining why there are dead wolves out back.

If human safty is the issue, I can't imagine that DNR would not act. If you had to take matters into your own hands I find it tought to belive a jury would convict you for trying to protect your family. That is ludicrous!

Bottom line, Call DNR. If they force you to act, ACT.

As for the last one I would never use poison on anything except for rats.Poison is the most unethical thing I have ever heard of.Please dont ever do that as lots of animals are meat eaters. They dont deserve to die like that.
Please strike my tainted meat comment as it would be unethical. Only use poison on rats because for rats it would be ethical?
I've never heard of a rat eating a dog.
