Illinois Bow Season Over

RE: Illinois Bow Season Over
I should have filled an antlerless tag but didn't shoot in fear of a bruiser I was after was behind them. This late season sure was fun though, best time I ever had bowhunting whitetails in late season.
Looks like turkey hunting and shed hunting is up next.

Good to hear somebody was still seeing deer. I hunt public so its been a difficult season. I got a doe opening bow and a 7pt buck opening shotgun so it hasn't been a bad season at all, although I wish I hadn't passed on some of the bucks during pre-rut/rut.
I also hunt a small stretch of private that have some huge bucks. Can't wait to get out and find some sheds!!!

I had a doe tag left and wanted to fill it. I sat the last 3 days and saw a lot of activity. I didn't ever see just one---I always saw 5 to 10. they are grouped up for winter. I did fill my last tag. I also got to see a 140" walking aroung one day. glad to know he's still alive.
