I was wondering if anyone has used these or have known someone who has and seen any of the results in performance.
Not whether a sharp broad head will kill an animal, but about flight, balance, truth of trajectory and so on.
They look nice and the idea of using a fixed, no fuss broadhead seems very appealing to me. I am somewhat of a traditionalist in the fact that I shoot a recurve. That is about it. Other than that, and a few cedar arrows, broadheads being mechanical or otherwise have found there way into my arsonal.
The g5's looked like something that I would like to try out. Montec is one model.
The 2 blade looks like a winner with me as well, falling into the lighter category with some Trad. undertones.
Thanks guys...

They are excellent heads in every way. I have tested both the montecs and the B-52's and both are accurate tought and well made. The only downside is the price, but considering you can sharpen them yourself that's not as bad as it would first seem.

I have been using them faithfully for 2 years. They are the best broadheads I've ever owned. I too, will only shoot a fixed broadhead. They fly excellent, their tough and they do a number on a variety of animals. Give them a try, you'll love them.

I trust 5 Shot's broadhead tests and so do many others besides, if you look in the broadhead success poll, the Montec G-5 seems to have been used successfully for several hunters. I am a loyal Muzzy user but am going to try the G-5's next season just to see for myself.

I started using them this year and love 'em. I took 4 deer with them all with good results.
They fly true and are a real tough durable head. I actually bought 6 broadheads and will be sharpening them in the off season.
I highly recommend them.

We have had really good results with them. All complete pass throughs. They take a little time to get sharp but seem to do an awesome job. My only complaint is the price and I can get over that... as long as I don't lose any! They fly true and are far easier to tune than any other heads I have used in the past. TGK
