Help me out here fellows...

I saw a large 8-10 pointer with 18 -20" spread while hunting my box blind Saturday. He was being chased by a German Shep.
My stand over looks a small grass field and I have corn out about 40 yards away.
This deer came out of the 30 - + acres that I believe he lives in. He came in on a popular deer trail and left on one so I know he knows the area. I have one week left in the season. How do I get him? Stay in my stand and hope for the best? Go deep into his territory? Scent? Rattle? Grunt?
I have not seen any does up there this year only 5 bucks, 6 counting this one.
Guys, help me get this wall-hanger!!!

I'd think about setting up inside that 30 acres you think he's living in. Someplace closer to his bed between that and the corn. By the sounds of it he came out in the open because he was being chased by a dog. Get closer to his core area on the same path he came out of. check for a rub or scrape line. JMO good luck.

I thought about this a lot. I don't want to invade on his territory yet, however, come closer to the end of the week and season, I will go into his bedroom.

30 acres of core area though. No I wouldn't want to bust him out of there either, but seems like there could be a way to get in there and closer to where he's actually bedding. I just don't think they're going to move very far from their core this time of year. Heck he may never need to come out. If he does it may be well after night or with a dog chasing him. You're right though be patient until it starts getting late in the season then go ahead and get it over with already and get in his bedroom!!

My stand covers the only food source and creek for water.
Granted there are probably other food sources 1 -2 miles away, but why drive to the store when you can walk to the kitchen? I hope I get him!
