RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
I got my Cortizone injections in my back yesterday, so I think I could even handle a ten acre enclosure right now.
NYBH, Don't worry I have the deluxe Swiss Army knife it has wire cutters in it. |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
I'm thinking we got to come up with some BLAZE ORANGE fencing to protect these critters from running into the fences. I mean, a deer could get hurt that way when you're trying to kill him.
Wait a minute, I just came up with a GREAT IDEA. I think I can make a ton of money. Anyone want to go in "Partners" on a Texas venture. What we're going to do is purchase the "Invisible Fence" distribution rights in Texas and anywhere else that caters to pen hunts. Why we can simply put fence collars on these buggers and ring them in with "The Invisible Fence". A collar can't be deemed unfair chase. The biologist collar critters all the time. No more deer breaking their neck or ruining that fine trophy rack on a piece of chain link. Why we could sparate deer by code. You know, $3,000 deer in sector A, $4,000 deer in sector B....etc. etc. Why, even P & Y can't object if there's no "HIGH FENCE".[8D] Yes sir, just call me THe Fence Man. HEY NYBowhunter????? You suppose we can figure out someway to do that with golf balls. If you could line a fairway with Positive Force "The Invisible Straight Drive Fencing" and put a little negative ions in that little white ball........ well I'm here to tell you... I'll play that course all the time.:) OR... Wait a minute? Is it opposite forces attract or repel??? Well, it needs some fine tuning. |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
All right folks we are going to make this a little more fair chase since we are hunting a 5 acre parcel! Once we got the bugger cornered we can only through empty 12 ouncers at him unless he is one of them $5,000 bucks then we can move up to 16 ouncers!
David you bring that potty blind of yours with the flourescent long johns, we can use that to distract him! That and we may need it after emptying all those 12 & 16 ounce refreshments for ammo. I beleive from the sign I saw that the big one hangs around the feeder (just like in the wild) in the southeast corner of the 5 acre pen so we will start the drive from the northwest corner, just remember guys it is 5 whole acres so we have to be sure he doesn't slip through on us, we will never find him then![8D] |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
David,
you are wise beyond your years. I think you have an avenue there. I also think you stumbled onto Tigers succes. Anyone ever check his equipment for that? I think NOT!! Well we know the truth anyway. I'll contact the USGA and see if they will conform to the new idea. I think it can do nothing but great things for the game of golf. Wait a minute that may make my job obsolete!! You suppose those collars will work during the rut?? |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
You know I would support davids idea on the invisible fence, but the problem I see with it is if it is invisible how are we going to be able to tell when the buck is cornered if we can't see the fence?

RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
I want to come with you guys too...Can I , Can I ...Please? You guys have heard of the deer dolly right...I'll convert mine to the beer dolly and after we have him cornered and are done throwing the beer cans at the buck to take him down we can haul him right out of there, because let's face it.....Those five acres can be an awful long way to drag a deer. I'm just down the road from BC so you guys are welcome to stay at my house...Sound good? Jim

RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
I was very much opposed to this idea until Jim brought the beer.

I mean, a deer could get hurt that way when you're trying to kill him Taz, I was thinking about trying to drop an empty keg on his head as he went under my tree stand. A wooden ker would be considered traditional, right? |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
Charlie yes according to F&K (Fenced & Killed) the wooden keg would be classified as a traditional kill.

RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
I'm sitting here at work reading through this quite large topic and have come full circle. First I was like, alright, someone's standing up for what he believes.
Then I was like, wow, people can argue (at great lengths mind you) over anything. Let's face it, you guys have opposing views and you're each entitled to your own opionion. Get past it. Then with the last few posts about the beer, the kegs, the 5 acre drives and such I'm out and out laughing. My co-workers think I'm nuts. Thank God for humor. I was beginning to get stressed out just reading this topic. |
