RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
I'll probably get bashed for this:
What is the proper shot placement using the Muzzy double pump keg with the deer broadsided against the fence?[8D] |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
That's why the laws require full size kegs--pony kegs don't deliver the k.e. required--I don't know if that applies everywhere but it MN. that is the norm.

RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
but let's be honest here that would be pushing it!! Are you going to sit there and tell me I'm not a true drinker because I drink light beer? Also the alchohol percentage is the same so don't even go down that road with me |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
Farrm, Neck shot.

RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
So you think we should wait to step up to the 10 acre enclosure? I didn't think you would have a rebuttal to my post Charlie. Looks like my point was taken. Now get to drinkin'!! |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
Geez, you guys are tough! I gotta sign off for a few hours, and I get pummeled!
Now I know what hip feels like!:( I was laughing so hard reading through the posts since I left, I am not sure who said what. Yes, the deer can clearly see the fence, they see cars coming and still run into them, right? Taz, I highly doubt you could spear one. the only chance would be on a deer drive! Hey, I am laughing right along with you guys here, some funny stuff. But I am still serious, it ain`t like you think it is. I will take a few pics of deer and try to post `em. I don`t know how, might have to send them to somebody. I do have a couple of pics taken with a very poor quality digital of the new cabin there. It is where you would have to stay while making all these adventerous hunts you were talking about! I`ll try to send them to Taz, maybe he can post `em. |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
Hey BC...My post was all tongue in cheek. No offense intended to anyone. I have been following this post since it started and when it got around to being humerous...I had to jump in.
Hey guys........Do most of you guys shoot the expandable kegs or the fixed keg design? If you are drinking light beer then I hope the heck you guys are using the fixed keg design because of the drinketic energy problem associated with light beer. You regular beer drinkers don't have the drinketic energy problem so I say go with the expandables. My beer dolly offer is still good too. I've been down in the basement all afternoon making the modifications and I got her around to the point where we can load up at least six half kegs. We should be able to drink three...conk the buck, load him up and still have the other three to drink on our long walk out of the 5 acre wilderness...Or is it ten now?.... Please advise when and where we are to meet....Your humble servant.......Jim |
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
We don't have to actually climb over the fence with the kegs do we?? That could be tough. I'm hoping there is a gate someplace. If I'm not back at camp after we get our buck, please come searching the fenced in area for me for I may have passed out trying to calibrate my Keg.
|
RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
Not to worry...The beer dolly is equipped with hydraulic lifters that will allow the dolly to self levitate itself over the fence complete with kegs. As far as passing out from keg calibration....You always run that risk when kegging a deer so it's no different than any other "hunt". It's a tough life being a keghunter but someone has to do it. Don't sweat it though. If you do pass out, we have GPS and I know a dude with a chopper so we can locate you inside the massive enclosure. Once located, we will airlift you out and begin immediate keg calibration reversal at the nearest Dennys or Bob Evans. I reccomend going with a Grand Slam breakfast or possibly a Sunshine Skillet at that point. Once again...Just here to help....Your faithful servant...Jim

RE: Huntingnet Promotes Hunts Behind Fences!
Bigcountry, what kind of trees adn brush is on your 5 acre parcel? I don`t mind these guys making fun. I probably laughed as hard as anyone reading the posts. I guess I will have to get one person down here to see just how "tame" these deer are. Hey, I have had a guy tell me that they could kill every deer in the 200 acre pen in one day! HeHe. He did admit it might take him more than one day to finish off the big pen. Hey, I have to give Big Country credit. Those of you who have read his posts in the past knows he leases and hunts on prime property in western Illinois.....and its all fair chase. Only thing that I wonder about is this......is he bringing some of his pen raised animals to his leases to release, with him to hunt? bowarrior....do I know you? Come on, fess up.;) BTW, anybody that can post a couple pics for me? I can`t seem to do it. |
