I hunt in illinois. The cold front moved through earlier in the weekend and i seen deer activity all over. I seen more bucks this past week than i have ever seen in my past 5 years of hunting combined. I have seen many bruiser bucks this year. Im so excited about gun season cuz im gonna bag me a large one. Monday morning it was very bright and i spooked a bunch of deer out of the place i was hunting so i switched spots but the last couple mornings i havent been able to go im going tomm morning ill get back to you after that. You just have to get out there earlier and make sure u stay out of the moonlight the deer still move no matter what unless its really windy, raining heavy, or hot.

I' ve been seeing activity all day long on pretty much all of my stands as of the last week or so. Last weekend I saw a combined total of 8 different bucks in 2 days. Some in the morning, some during mid day and some during night. I think right now it' s all a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Try hunting doe hotspots and funnels connecting them. The big ones are out looking and running does all day long. If you sit long enough in a well used travel corridor it' s only a matter of time before one' s gonna come walking through. Well, at least that' s what I keep telling myself.
