Usually the rut starts about mid Nov. around here. If the cool weather continues like is has been it could start even earlier. Sure has been nice not sweating my butt off this year while bow hunting. Last year I don' t think the runt started until late Nov. because it had been so darn hot.

I just got back from an Oklahoma bow trip and I' ll be going back again in November. I did some research and made several phone calls today and I kept hearing the same thing; the prime chase period of the rut is normally around the 15th of November. I was specifically asking about the NW part of the state. Basically I keep hearing that the 2nd and 3rd week of Nov. are prime time. I made my motel reservations for Nov. 12-17 in Alva.
