Do they come back? Yes....
Today I decided to sleep in and go out in early afternoon. I was headed to a thicket where I set a milk crate for a ground blind by a huge hickory tree. Yesterday I spooked a bedded doe from near there. Well, today I get up there and I was 20 feet from this thicket . Suddenly this doe crashes out and knocks over my milk crate. She was bedded on the ground where I cleared all the leaves and debris. Now surely this deer could smell that I had been there??? I even relieved myself there. So much for scent control!!! Guess where I' ll be tomorrow morning? See if she' ll be there 3 days in a row......
She' s a decent sized doe so it' s not like she' s a yearling and doesn' t know better.

I spooked a young doe about a month ago while scouting. I remember watching her run off about 50 yards and disappear. I walked another 30 yards along a trail and stopped to look around. About 3 min later I hear something in the distance behind me. I turned and stared at the bushes and sure enough that doe comes through following my scent trail. She sure was curious. Made it to about 7 yards away from me before she saw me and then gave the white flag. LOL [8D]
