Tonight was my first evening out. It was an absolutely perfect evening for hunting. I had a respectable 3.5 year old nine point come to within 12 yards at 6:45. I' m in a ground blind. Had three does within 10 feet at about 7:30. Then the big boys come out at 7:45. A 20" eleven point, 16" 14 point, and two eight pointers. But, they came out in the neighboring field, 80-100 yards away. Close, but no cigar. Tomorrow I' m going to move my ground blind, we' ll see what happens.

James, sounds like a great night. Hey, any of them animals on your pictures? Good luck tomorrow night, can' t wait to see the pic...

Did you try a grunt tube....I' ve pulled them farther than that before.

yeah, Rob. The nine I hadn' t seen before. He was probably 16" inside and maybe score somewhere in the 115-120 range. Not a bad buck. All of the other bucks from the pictures showed up last night as well. Total I had six different bucks come out last night. A nine, eleven, fourteen, two eights and a spike buck. Today I' ll move my ground blind and hope for a better shot opportunity tonight.

You might want to get into their stageing area over by that other field. The far west side of the state would be in a zone F time period. Add 20 minutes to the 7:26 daily close and your leagal til 7:46. [] That was yesterdays closeing time. You need more time. Good luck.

Nub, I' m aware of the shooting times. I know you' re not lecturing me, but I know I' m cutting it close. They usually come out between 7:30 and 7:45. I' ve moved my blind to where they first enter the field...if things work out I' ll put a tag on one tonight.


Cardeer, I' ve been playing this game with them for a little while now. Even before season started. I' ve moved my blind four times now. Just need a little luck.
