Touchy subject, eh? Do you drink alcohol in your stand? Do you drink too much in your stand?

Not touchy IMO. Just stupid. I don' t understand why it would even be an issue? Hunting and drinking is just as bad as drinking and driving. If you can' t sit in your stand without drinking you likely need to grow up and get some professional help. JMO

I wouldn' t even consider it and wouldn' t hunt with anyone who did. Save the celebration for after the hunt.

Absolutely not[X(] As mez and thundergut said if you need to drink while hunting you should give it up. I won' t hunt with other who are drinking either[:' (] Nothing wrong with celebrating a good hunt but at least wait till the hunting day is over. The strongest thing I consider while hunting is Diet Mountain Dew

To put it quite selfishly, I' m more worried about having to hunt in the same woods with people who do than I am about them getting hurt [X(]

Deer and beer don' t mix! I do enjoy a few cold ones after the hunt when I' m hunting with buddies. Once, I had a buddy of mine load his coat and pant pockets full of beer one afternoon before departing for the treestand. I warned him that deer and beer don' t mix but he went anyway. Well, after swigging a few he had to whiz so he commenced to draining the main vein out of his stand. Low and behold, he scanned the horizon and saw a nice PY buck just 40 yards away staring at him with his johnson in hand and a stream of golden shower spewing out of his stand. The buck bolted. When my buddy met me at the truck later he told me the story...I laughed, grabbed a beer, then asked him to help me drag out the doe I had just killed.

It' s never crossed by mind. Why would I? If someone thinks alcoholic beverage are so tastey that they must take them to the stand, then I say you' re looking at an alcoholic. Don' t get me wrong, I do drink on occasion, but I hate it when guys think they have have a drink everytime they go outdoors. It' s really immature to me.

Heck yea I drink on stand!!! Coffee! Drinking does not mix with hunting, climbing trees, shooting a gun or a bow!

It' s illegal here in PA. I wouldn' t even if it was legal.....it' s just plain stupid.[:@]
