MIKE!!! i paid 52 a few monts ago for the same xt's. i shot the new camo hunters today and needless to say they are smooth. i actualy had to put my ear next to the rest to hear it i thought wow! so i took off the heat shrink and couldent believe my ears, even with bare metal drawing these arrows are as silent as can be. its nearly imposible to hear unless you are realy paying attention to the arrow. i am amazed.

I shoot the SME epsilons. They shoot fine for me. And as Paul said, they are very quiet when drawn. You can get them pretty reasonably if you shop around.

We use Gold Tip XT's. I am not sure why everyone thinks that they are so noisy. Brand new out of the box, they are no more noisy than my old aluminums. We coat them with a product called 303. It was created by NASA, used to protect boats in the same way armor-all protects the interior of your car. This makes them so smooth! I always order them off the net from a shop in Idaho, excellent service! Great price too.

I have shot the gold tip hunters, the gold tip XT's, and am currently shooting CE CX300's. I like these the best because they are the most accurate and fastest of the 3. But i cant complain about the GT XT's. They were great. I didnt care for the hunters too much. Didnt group well at all.

Tribalscream...where can you pick up this product,303? How much weight does it add to the arrow? Have been looking for something to put on my XT's.

I have shot the bemans and the goldtips. I like them both. The goldtips are very rough and my launchers. Just wore them out quickly. The bemans were much better at this. Goldtip is supposed to come out with a smoother arrow, but I don't know if they did.

Tribalscream,
And that internet service in Idaho is???? Does the 303 have an odor? Does it leave a film like say Silicon lube??....or dry leaving a coating?? Where can we get this 303??? In exchange I'll share my secret. I found raw shaft XT's in Quaratermaster Brigade ~1 year ago for $45. I have never had a problem with noise either,....and I have never used 303! I don't plan on ever switching from Gold Tip XT's.
