I believe that rifle hunting is not cheating eventhough i prefer to use the bow. Shooting deer at 300 yards is not a very easy thing to do and that is why i feel that it is not cheating.

WOW, I am speechless. Great Post Wolfen, I was expecting something different. But I have heard its more dangerous to drive to go hunting, than actually hunting, be it gun or bow. Everything else is very true, and bow hunting is much more fun.

Gun hunting has lost some appeal to me, but I do like being able to bow hunt for bucks and use the riffle to get meat in the freezer and thin down the does (which are rampant in my areas). Guns offer a great advantage, but thats what we get for being at the top of the food chain and having a good brain.

A 300 yds shot isn't all that easy, although I am very comfortable out to 200 yds, the hard part is estimating ranges out that far and farther. Of course we have technology to help with that too.

But I would rather not worry about gun hunters and spend time on the anti-hunters.

the way I see is like this, we all like to hunt, bowhunters, crossbow hunters, & gun hunters. we all need to stick together to keep our rights to hunt, own firearms, bows, etc. if we start fighting against ourselves then the antihunters will win in the end. lets all get along & stick together no matter what you hunt with
