What do you do when you have been " made" by deer? Do you go on and hunt that specific area at that time or do you retreat and go somewhere else?
I suppose it depends on where I am hunting and if there is a specific deer I am after. There have been times I was " made" , usually on afternoon hunts and I retreated to another area. At other times I went ahead and hunted the intended area or spot. Do you have a specific rule and always follow that rule or do you play it by ear sometimes?

I usually just hunt the spot anyway. Then again it depends on the time of day and how badly the deer were scared. Like if its late evening and I scare three deer that run off snorting for the next 10 minutes I would just retreat out and hunt another day.

If I' m huntin a certain Buck and he sees me in the stand, then I' ll back out of there for at least 3 or 4 days, then set up in the same area, but another tree.
also, if the wind shifts the wrong way and I' m after a nice buck, I' ll get out and hunt another stand till the wind is right.
