Default Single sight pin?

For those who shoot a single sight pin. What do you have it set at (yards)? I was thinking of trying this to limit myself on my shooting distance.

If you' re shooting around 250 fps, you can set the pin at 27 yards and be in good shape from 10 yards out to 32 yards or so.

I set mine for 20 yards. Ive done alot better since i set it for this distance versus setting it for 10 yards and compensating the greater distances.

I set my only pin at 25yds. At my stands, my target oppertunities are 20-30yds....and I haven' t had a problem hitting bull' s with my pin....hopefully it will work on Mr. or Mrs. Whitetail next month....

I have always used a 25 yard pin at around 277 fps. As you read in another post here the average shots are only about 10 to 20 yards anyway. And by doing this you won' t have a pin for 35 to 40 yards so you won' t be tempted to shot and thus you have limted you shooting range as you wanted to.

One pin at 20 yards for me also!! If I was to change that I would do one pin at 25. I would still keep my maximum shot at 30 yards.

Good Luck!!
