I like to be there a couple of hours early. I love that quite time and the anticipation before the first legal minute of shooting, especially the first day. I' m usually so excited that first morning, I need the time to relax and get focused. As the season goes on, I' ll usually make it in the stand an hour early.

Rack-attack

I like to be all set up with 1/2 hour of " complete" darkness left. I love to watch the sky slowly light up.

1-1 1/2 hours before light. the main reason is that no matter how hard I try to be quiet going out there it always seems very loud to me. The only thing that bothers me is the way the temperature seems to drop right at sunrise.
