Default game camera problem :::update.

to all that are having a problem with cameras taking a few pic' s. and then blank.or not taking anything,(pic that are blank or just nothing on the pic. except a tree).

I was having problems with my stealth cam. taking only 2 or 3 pic on a roll of 24.[:' (]I did everything I could think of and still no pic' s.this was the second stealth cam. I took the first one back and they gave me another one.(it did the same thing)[:' (]

I call the coustomer service and talk to a guy for about 20 min.he said it all comes down to the flim you use.(" most of the time" ). when I told him what the camera was doing,the first thing he said was " I bet your useing Fugi Flim,aren' t you" ?

he said use Kodak 200 and there should be no problem.I went and checked my camera today(with Kodak) and it had 18 pic taken.[:-]

this may not be Your problem,but try it and see.if you are having this problem........Hope this helps some of you.[8D]

I am waitin for my best-friends sister to drop off my roll of film. She works at a store that does one hour photos and she got it developed for me. Hopefully it will be here in a few minutes.

I am using Kodak Max Gold 800 speed film and so far, the picture quality is amazing out of both of my Stealth Cams.

I set this camera up about a week and a half ago. I checked it today, and guess what, the camera was FULL, plus, the game counter was at 99. So, it maxed out the counter sometime in that period!!!!!!

I can' t wait to see these pictures, as the camera was set-up on a major big buck trail where a bachelor group of 11 bucks (with atleast 5 bucks being close to P&Y) travel.

TreeClimber, I hope that film solves your problem but to be honest, I don' t see how it could be the problem. Having some experience building game cameras and working on a couple commercial units in the past, I would bet the problem is with the PIR sensor. The film in the camera does not activate the shutter, the PIR does. A very common problem is when the PIR " thinks" it " senses" something and tells the camera to take a photo. Not trying to be a smart alek, just brainstorming outloud.

Another thing.......my main hobby right after hunting is photography and I can tell you that many many 35mm pros shoot Fugi film. I just wanted to throw that out there too. But first and foremost, I' m glad your camera is back up and working and you need to keep doing whatever makes it work. Out of curiosity, did the tech explain " how" the Fugi film could cause the problem?

Txcowboy : no he didn' t say how the flim could cause the problem.he just said they found that was the problem they found most of the time when this happened.
I couldn' t see why it would ,but that just what he said.I will find out with a few more rolls.

I had a moultrie gamecam II and it said use 800 and you pic' s would be better. stealth says use 200. I' m not expert,but I though 800 was for fast and any light,200 was for sun and flask????????????????? just don' t know.
as long as I can get it to work again I' ll be happy....the moultrie did the same thing,so I got the stealth.I went to Fugi flim in the moultrie.I' m going to try Kodak in it to see if it will work???????

I' m in for any idea' s,so if you got any,let fly....I never think anyone is smart when they give an idea.
