50 Yard Shot
#1
I have been praticing at what i think is 50 yards or maybe just a tad bit less. I am having problems with the aiming because i cant tell if its just below the second pin or above, or even on or below the third pin sight. Has anyone faced this problem? If so what would be the best suggestion other then praticing?

I' m not 100% sure on what your tryin to explain but what I understand for you to do, is just move your pins. I have 4 pins on my hunting sights. 1 for 20 metres, 1 for 30 meters, 1 for 40 metres and my bottom pin is 50 metres. I find this excellent in the hunting situation. If my target is at 35 metres I' ll put where I want to hit inbetween the 20 and 30 pins. If its at 25 metres I' ll put where I want to hit in between my 20 and 30 pins. You can' t go wrong really.
My pins start at 20 metres because between 20 and 10 metres there is only a 1 inch drop in my arrow therfore i formed a habit to shoot 1 inch low at 10 metres.
Hope I helped Buddy,

yeah you pretty much nailed the target in the bullseye steve, thanks
. Reason asking this question is i want to learn how to judge distance and/or striking points of in between pin sights as well. I was thinking about moving the pins to 20, 40, 60 yards even though i want to avoid making longer shots I figured it wouldn' t hurt to learn though however.

If you can, add a couple more pins to your sight. Then set up for 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 yards. When I used sights, I' d mentally divide the space between the pins into 10 even increments. 42 yards would be two clicks under the 40 pin. 47 yards would be 7 clicks under the 40, or 3 clicks over the 50.
