In the past I was able to tune 3 blades better than 4 blades, but maybe it was just me. 3 or blade either one will do the trick as long as they fly well. Personally I do not see much advantage with the extra blade, have not lost a deer yet using the 3 blade.

Remember a couple heads a while back that used 6 blades? Field testing by some and in actual hunting conditions proved the extra blades were not benificial.

I use a Muzzy three blade broadhead. I think three blades make the best blood trail. If you think about it, three blades cutting will always assure that the wound is wide open like a hole instead of a cut. Two or four blades the wound can close up a bit when the animal moves and pulls the skin tight because the blades are straight across from each other. I personaly like to see a lot of blood on the ground. Never the less any broadhead through the boiler room will bring an animal down very fast.
