I will be out there. Its not raining, but its very windy, which sucks!!! But I'm not going to sit in the house wondering what if.... Best of luck everyone today... I think with all the rain we had yesterday and last night, I think the deer will be on the move this morning. I just have to hope with the direction of the high winds that doesn't screw me today. We will see shortly......

How'd every one do?

I got a 6 pointer at 8:15 am, he came in feeding on some green leaves. Browsed his way to 10-12 yards and turned broadside. Drew back and let her fly. He may have ducked a little and it hit high and spined him. Put another rage into him to put him down fast.

Between the blood and mud he was a mess so here is a pic of just the rack.

Congrats!! I had a doe and her two fawns come in at 7:30, but she never gave me a shot... I have her on my trail came, and they go through this spot about the same time every day. They didn't see me, so I'm hoping I get a chance at her tomorrow morning. Didn't see anything this afternoon..

I had a great day, up until last light when a doe got 35 yards from me, spotted me, and slipped to the north. As I was scooting around to head her off, the wind shifted, and she nosed me - and let out that godawful wheeze-whistle we all hate so much....
BUSTED!!!!!!!!!
Off to plan B tomorrow!

I think I might have gotten spoiled this morning. I got a decent piece of property to hunt and there was a lot of sign around. I had my camera out for a week or so and had a few does on it. i knew there were a few bucks around from talking to people just never caught them on camera.
This is my first year bow hunting and I got in the tree this morning right before sunrise. I had a fox cross to my left real early and a doe ran about 100 yards from me on the right in a dead run 15 minutes later, never stopped or slowed down until she was out of sight. That excited me, I figured if she was running maybe one of those bucks were behind her. About 5 minutes later i could see a deer 150 yds or so from me running back and forth in the woods. I got the binocs on him and saw antlers. i hit the bleat 2-3 times and he wandered down to investigate. i let him get to about 20 yards, he turned broadside and after making sure he had 3 on one side I let the arrow fly. He ran about 60 yards and crashed hard. My first bow buck 45 min into the first morning. Hes a nice symmetrical 8.

nice bucks guys! congrats! And styk that's cool that he answered to the bleat! I recently had a buck about 75 yards away, looked like a rack six (forgot my binocs that day...) so i hit the bleat and he didn't want anything to do with that haha
