What gives ?????????????, What " group" of NO LIFE HAVING jerks had to lobby for this stupid cause ?.
Why can' t these groups leave people the heck ALONE !.Why is this their concern ?.Are they being ask to watch the hunts take place, I DON" T THINK SO.
I just don' t get humans. We ARE a messed up species(spelling?).Many of us will not think twice about doing something wrong to another, just to further our so called " quality of live" .It starts on a grand scale with big corparations, and trickels down in scale, on an individual level.Sorry about the rant, but I just wish people could MIND THEIR BUSSINESS !.Unless something endangers you or your family or country, why feel you have to stop it, or change it.If you don' t approve, then don' t get involved.Let those who DO enjoy it,,,,ENJOY IT..PERIOD,,,.... [:' (]

Droptines.....appreciate the passion, just needed to clean it up a bit. Watch that please.

Coming from Ontario, I hope this does not happen too. The boys and I come down to turkey hunt in various location every year and most of what we hunt is public land.

If it happens, you boys can always come a short drive to Ontario to hunt. I' ll welcome you all with open arms......and maps.

here u guys go....

Here' s something that could ultimately effect all of us, the state of New York has a bill in front of the Governor that would ban all shooting preserves in the state. Yes, you read right, all shooting/hunting preserves in the state of New York would be shut down if bills S2735 and A4609 are passed.
Understanding there are many different viewpoints on hunting preserves, we as hunters must still focus on what is best for the sport we love and take action to help stop the banning of these preserves. One legitimate fear is if the hunting preserves get banned, what' s next?

The best way to help prevent this banning is to write the Governor of New York and express your concerns directly to him.

There' s a BIG difference between hunting preserves and State land. The actual bill stated " Fenced in" hunting preserves. I believe the bill passed along with one requireing 500 sqr. inches of orange while big game hunting.

I was going to say I got the same e-mail, and it had nothing to do with State land. Its about Private Hunting preserves, BIG DIFFERENCE! Not that I agree private preserve hunting should be banned. I don' t hunt preserves, but it is still a form of hunting. If we allow this to go, no telling whats next. I don' t know whats going on with this state anymore. Bills, and DEC legislation to legalize the crossbow, bills to require so much orange, Bills to lower the archery age to 12(which I do agree with, heck my 12 yr old can kill a turkey with a gun at 12, why can' t he bowhunt!)
