Cross bows in NY?

Default Cross bows in NY?

Ok, I heard from the grape vine that there going to let cross bows in NY now.... Is this right??? I was told that it might not be this year as they don't know if It will get approved before bow season starts. But is this rumor right??

Bill allowing them in regular and mz season has passed and is waiting signature of gov. Take effect 2011, but has a sunset clause for 2012 - means would have to be renewed then.

I think they did the right thing.I still don't want them in archery season but if folks want to use them in regular or ML that's fine with me.

There is no xgun section - there is a crossBOW one as there is a trad and a tech one for primarily compounds. A question about archery equipment being added to a bow season seems like a legit one. Only other place for it might have been the NE forum.

I think anything that gets people involved in archery is a good thing. I am predicting that a lot of people who don't normally bowhunt will buy one and eventually end up getting a "regular" bow. I think the people who are screaming about crossbows being the end of archery as we know it are overreacting
