So you think this compares to a compound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5nVSfv0Rlg
I don't think so!
I never said anything about the PSE TAC15 now did I?

The TAC 15 and Stryker are but two crossbows on the planet that I know of that will reach those speeds. Most "super" crossbows top out at 350 - 360 fps. and the vast majority of crossbows on the market top out at less than 325.

How many of those "slob hunters" are going to be able to afford a $1600 crossbow?

BTW, feel free to answer and debunk the following.

1. Do they or do they not meet every definition of archery equipment? Please research and make me a liar.

2. Are crossbows, having their origins some 2400 years ago, primitive weapons? Remember that compounds are primitive weapons in most states that have an actual "primitive weapons" season.

3. Are your traditions my traditions and are my traditions your traditions? I hope not.

4. Are hunter numbers declining across the country?

What really cracks me up about all your posts, is the word "fact". It gives me a laugh like you wouldn't believe. You still don't get it. There is no facts. All these articles this guy posted are opinions. Picking out and choosing data that suits your needs doesn't fly.

This is the internet. Best you can hope for is a good opinion.

I didn't quote super arrowguns like the PSE and stryker. Those are super arrowguns. Do you actually know anything???

Weren't you just complaining about just the opposite on a previous post about Tenpoint crossbows? Hi pot, my name is kettle.
So what speed did it hit?
240fps. I love pulling out my chronos, everybody with super compounds all seem glum after that. But I am sure you believe numbers the mfg tell ya. Its your nature. Good boy.

No, I wouldn't quit hunting and I doubt many would but there will definitely be some.
Might pull in some numbers.

If every state, or even just a few states, went to an anything goes season and the population is forced to make the decision to use a bow or rifle in an anything goes season I bet most hunters would opt to use their rifles for the obvious reasons.
I wouldn't

If people aren't spending money on archery equipment the archery stores aren't making money and aren't paying taxes.

If the stores aren't selling it they will down size to maintain a profit and may eventually close up shop all together.

If stores close up shop people become unemployed and the state will pay unemployment benefits. This is called an expense.
wow, that sounds like the blama stimulus plan. How did that work out? You are finding out so much about yourself on this thread.

If the stores aren't selling it then the manufacturers aren't manufacturing it. Less taxes paid to neighboring states.
So we need to make this big beaurcracy basically getting people to buys all this sports gear? And it gets bigger and bigger, needing management, needing studies. I wonder why I have to pay over 40K in taxes.

The offsetting of the additional gun hunters (most are already gun hunting any way) that you are going to argue, that will be buying more guns and ammo won't be enough to keep many of the family owned archery shops in business.

I didn't know that you were so anti-capitalist and so pro-unemployed.
I am not anti-capitialist, but what you just decribed is not a capitalist free market system. More goverment control and taxes.

strange. Do you really want me to go back through your posts and start pointing out your many many spelling and punctuation errors?
If you want too, I say go for it. Just wanted to know what you meant. Thanks, that was fun.

All these articles this guy posted are opinions. Picking out and choosing data that suits your needs doesn't fly with someone like me who has experience that says different. I think it would be best you keep standing behind the counter where your at waiting on customers asking, "sir, can I help you". Perfect.
I haven't read any of the links posted. I don't care what the links say or don't say.

I simply want you to debunk what I posted above with facts to back it up.. If you can then do so if you can't then you may as well be irrelevant.

1. Do they or do they not meet every definition of archery equipment? Please post something, other than your opinion, that says different.

It's called economics. You should try reading about it some time.

It is exactly a free market system.

What cracks me up is that you refuse to address anything relevant to the discussion through out this entire thread. Your entire argument is based on pure emotion and tradition.

YOu didn't read em, but you commented on how the poster was making too much sense??? Are you even aiming?

More so of the defintion of a gun. Gun stock, gun trigger, gun scope, can be preloaded and high energy held for long periods of time. I hate to inform you, but its the internet, its pretty well all opinion.

2. Are crossbows, having their origins some 2400 years ago, primitive weapons? Remember that compounds are primitive weapons in most states that have an actual "primitive weapons" season.
I say lets make those legal. Wooden/sinewed prods, no sights. Lets do it. Can't be held at tenision for more than a min or less. I bet even Pope, Hill and Roy Case would nod in approval. Oh, I forgot, your talking about a contraption that has an AR-15 lower and shoots up to 400fps with magnified scope.

3. Are your traditions my traditions and are my traditions your traditions? I hope not.
I can see your traditions are not anything close to Pope, Young, Hill.

4. Are hunter numbers declining across the country or not?
Lack of land and habitat. Over developing and urban spraw. Its not because we all were not allowed to use a 400fps PSE arrowgun. I am sure you believe it is.

No, go back to social studies. Making a goverment run beaurcracy that puts out seasons so tax payers have to purchase un-needed items to hold up your store and other businesses is not a free market system.

Your entire argument is based on pure emotion and tradition.
Uh, duh, I have been explaining this the whole time. Wake up

Still a bunch of spin and dodge from bigcountry. Too afraid to directly answer the questions because he'd have to admit that crossbows are in fact archery equipment.
