You think???? You really didn't figure out that we already know this. There is a reason why your pimping it so hard. Got to get ready for your next excuse why you need to use em this year. What was it again. Something in your head? Vertigo now?
What was it a few years ago? trad bows didn't penetrate well enough you needed a tradtech and every other bow in the world to get the job done. Then what was it? You struggled with broadheads, and had to have these certain thunderheads, or you couldn't get the job done??
After all the excuses you make for not being able to get it done, now its vertigo, I wouldn't brag on your hunting if I was you.

I've hunted decades with a compound and quite a few years with recurves/longbows. I've hunted upwards of 20 different states, I've lived in 20 more I imagine. I've been hunting all my life, and I've done it in a crossbow state.

The facts are......
1. Crossbows meet all archery definitions. No one here can argue otherwise with any facts to back it up.
2. Crossbows have the same effective range as the typical compound bow does.
3. Crossbows, in one form or another, have been around longer than any other form of bow other than the long bow so, if compound bows qualify as primitive weapons then crossbows certainly qualify as primitive weapons. I know that the first crossbows used sinew strings, wooden limbs, wooden arrows, etc,... etc... Well, so did the original long bows. Today's long and recurve bows that use carbon fiber risers, fiberglass and carbon laminated limbs, glass reinforced tips, carbon and aluminum arrows aren't exactly "primitive".
4. Tradition is a personal inheritance passed down from one family/generation/person to the next. Not all families have the same traditions. Not all families want the same traditions. Crossbows are steeped in more tradition than any compound bow out there. If someone wants to continue the tradition of hunting with self made bows then more power to them. Who am I or any one else to tell them otherwise? If some family wants to start a new tradition of hunting with crossbows then more power to them. Who am I or any one else to tell them otherwise?
5. More and more states will continue to allow crossbows in archery season and with good reason. Hunter numbers are declining at a drastic rate. If crossbows can get more people in the woods and introduced to the hunting lifestyle then great.
6. The "slob hunter" argument is just plain silly. Anyone can post all the stories they want to in order to try and validate their position on either side of the argument and it doesn't prove anything except there are idiots out there hunting with crossbows, long bows, recurve bows, compound bows, muzzle loaders, shot guns, center fire rifles, pistols, spears, knives, and every other form of hunting tool out there. There are idiots driving cars, flying planes, teaching our kids, etc... etc...

wow. lol. i'm not agging anyone on.
nope, no need for me to be banned(i'm not cutting anyone down). and i'm not saying you should be banned either. all i said was there is no need for cutdowns. golly bc you surely are the sensitive one. one mention of the word "crossbow" or "banned" and you get all bent out of shape.
and as for me contributing here. well surely i won't be able to help you out, unless it's about the crossbow and you'll have no part of that.lol! and who are you to say that i don't add anything. that's your opinion. you are not god or king or the one to say who should be here and who should'nt be here. and furthermore people also come here to learn, which i am learning new things. but since you seem to think that you know it all maybe you should leave, because if people don't hunt exactly the same as you then they are "lazy slobs" and not up to your standards,so they are then worthless. the great thing about america is freedom of choice(as long as it's legal) and i exercise that right. so if you don't like it then go move to russia.

ok so you all are not against crossbows right? you just don't want them in your season because ..... the technology advancement- it's easier to shoot yes but it hasn't decimated the deer herd in any state where legal. it has the same range as as all the types of bows. it doesn't get you any closer to the deer than a bow. if you give xbowers their own season then what part ....people will then complain that their given the worst part of deer season. you guys are fretting over something that hasn't happened and prob. will never happen
