IF you would read....most of us on here are not xbow users that are discussing this. We are bow hunters that are not on a high horse and think we are better than other hunters. I haven't hunted a day with a xbow. I mean come on...your buddy BC has compared xbow hunters to homosexuals and abortionist.....You guys are just the thing the anti hunters love to see.....keep driving that wedge and see how great it is when you lose more hunting rights.

You have already told me you would not believe anything I showed you from the internet and that you do not believe most of the members on this forum or any other forum. I am being serious here. How would you feel if I came on here and told you about papermaking? Posted someone else's opinions from the internet, yet never in my life knew anything about papermaking? How would you reply? Would you sit here and pour out your experience showing me detailed step by step where I am wrong? Or would you take the opinion of some nameless, faceless poster from an internet forum when you have worked and breathed papermaking for decades?

This is the kind of divition that is going to result in the downfall of hunting as a sport.

Ill be the first to admit that i wasn't to thrilled when maryland leagalised crossbows. But all these winers need to suck it up. Crossbow hunters are HUNTERS just like the rest of us and they contribute to the sport and tradition of hunting. So everyone needs to deal with the change and welcome the new hunters because hunting is gona go through dangerous times and we need all the help we can get!!

I vote for Spear and Rock Deer Season to be the 2 weeks before "BOW" Season and for Boomerang and Slingshot to be the 2 weeks after the end of Gun Deer Season. In Virginia we already can use Cross"BOWS" and AirGuns... so this would just include everyone! Hunting for everyone...

Big Country, the fact is you cant prove the xbow is a better for taking deer at long range. You will not admit they are very similar in their range for hunting. The only real world difference is the fact they are held at full draw and easier to learn. You claim they are a danger yet you will not show me facts. You claim many things but will not back up a single one. You let your emotions get the better of you and you called people idiots I don't know how many times. Just calm down and prove to me were the xbow has caused harm to bow hunters or the deer heard. Just facts please.

Your #1 thing is that bow hunting is about tradition. If thats so then why does it matter if the bow season is so long. Would you be happy with a 2 week bow season and still celibate your tradition. The season is 3 to 5 months long in most states because most state have expanded the season. Gun season has been expanded in most every state. Muzzleloader season has been expanded in most every state. Why can't xbow be expanded. Even if you don't think its a bow they still have a right to expand the season. If there is proof it causes harm to the sport of hunting or deer population are devastated I will admit they are a mistake.

The fact is they are not causing issues to the states that have them. If so show me.

Also stand in any bow shop in America and ask 100 new bow hunters why they are buying a new bow. I bet almost none will say for tradition. I bet most all will say to extend their season.

I have given you respect for the fact that you love traditional equipment and admit it takes much more dedication to use. To me thats a personal issue and you should not expect every hunter to have the same traditions or want the same challenge. Some just want to hunt and enjoy the time out doors. Don't call them lazy slobs just because they have a different view that you do.
