Anybody with any info on the Oneida line of bows. Past or present knowledge would be helpful. Also a web site would be helpful. Thanks.

ou may also want to check out the Firebrand bows...They are made by the previous Oneida patent owners. Whe they came up with this design they liked it so much they sold the original oneida patents so they could focus on producing their new design. It looks like a Oneida with no wheels. They have a wide adjustmant range in for let-off and draw weight and are easy to work on without a press. If you want to check them out go to discoverybowhunting.com.

All I know about them is this. Since I' d never shot one, I borrowed one just to mess with it for a few days and the guy that loaned it to me won' t take the rotten thing back!

I had shot them for about 15 years I guess and went to a more conventional type bow back in 97 (High Country 4-Runner) and finally two years ago went with Hoyt. I found them to be a very smooth drawing bow and extremly easy to work on. Main problem for me was the total lenth of the darn thing and all the comments about how strange it looked. I missed a couple deer that were just out about 5 yards or so from the base of my tree as the bottom limb hit my leg upon release of the arrow. The second one was a dandy buck so that bow became expendable for me and I have never been sorry I made the switch. I do think they have come up with something shorter now but I would never own another after shooting the Hoyts.
