Default Is this arrow safe?

I have Carbon Express Terminator arrows. I was chimpmunk hunting with a judo point he other day and i hit a tree i looke at my arrow and at the tip the there is a small crack about 1cm long. Should i just throw this away, or is it safe, i really don' t want to get splintered w/ carbon so i am leaning towards chucking it. However i don' t just like to chuck 7 or 8 bucks in the trash, and after losing two from a robin hood, and losing two from shooting chipmunks ontop of elevated surfaces (no recommended) they are getting quite expensive. thanks -Sam

Trash it. A cracked arrow is a bad arrow.

If the arrow is long enough could you just cut it a little shorter and use it again?

Make sure to cut beyond where the crack ends and you should be alright. The spine will be different since it will be a little shorter though.

I would cut it past the crack and use it to shoot chipmunks, minus well give it a try.
