I don't hate either one,I think both have produced some fine trophys in their own way of hunting.I may not agree on some of their tactics in doing so.
I did hear Chuck Adams talk at a sports show in Clev.Ohio.I guess when I went to see him I thought maybe I would get some information on how to hunt a big buck.All I came away with was pics. of all the trophys he had shot with little back ground of how he acomplished it.I guess he is in a league of his own.
If I had to compare the two,I would go with Chuck Adams.If I had to, in my opinion pick the most famous, or best, it would be neither one.I would have to pick Fred Bear who I think really started what is called Bow Hunting.

Paul Bruner is a neat guy....he is arogant! and about 5'4"! I like the heck out of him. I met him at the Great Northern Longbow Safari about 7 years ago in SD. Chuck....Man, he's done it all! I don't hate anyone....I would like to hang out with MR. Adams for a hunting season though!!!! As for Bill Jordan, why does't he pronounce his name correctly????

Jordan makes me PUKE! Chuck and Greg Miller types I can almost stand! Did you see the Pic of Bill Jordan and little Jordan, and in the background is Fred Bear? What the --- has Jordan done for this sport except make money from us for himself and his "chosen few" (and little J),......and turn the sport into a commercial market!!! By taunting us with his videos and "canned" hunts he has turned it into an outfitters paradise. Him and others are considerably responsible for the way hunting has become. I know for a fact that animals are "hand picked" and "saved" for him by outfitters because a friend saw it first hand up in Canada 2 years ago!! My buddy was there the week before Jordan, and the story leaked out that Jordan was coming up the next week, and they had a trophy 170 class waiting for him and wouldn't allow others into that "area"!! Obviously the outfitters get HUGE advertisement for this,...so its hard to blame them! I guess Chuck at least does his own leg work. But I still believe that he has to have some "inside information" and help to get into so many world class animals. I would think that there are plenty of guys on this MB that could do what many of these Foulkrod/Miller type folks do. You need Money/connections/time/desire/access to several midwestern state hunting areas. Give those things to some folks on this MB and they would enjoy great success also!! Its become way to comercialized these days for me. It wasn't that way during the Fred/Aldo/Pope/Young days! Those are the guys I respect!! Have you guys read Millers book on "Rub Line Secrets"? I have NEVER read a book, and 1/2 way thru it say to myself "IS THIS GUY SAYING ANYTHING HERE" and then still feel that way when I get to the end of the book!! Just my opinion and maybe because of poor buck to doe ratio's its hard for me to relate to "rub line secrets".

Bill Jordan just gets out of his truck and shoots something at 600 yards. At least Adams is a hunter even though I get tired of hearing about him all the time. Another hunter I dislike is Dean Durham. He sits in his tree lounge and shoots anything that moves at 600 yards also. I hate that saying he has also. "thats a nice buck".

Sometimes people amaze me. They're in the business for the money.... because..... it makes sense. They're doing what the love and can support themselves playing at something that's a blast. Jordan doesn't need the money... he already had it. His folks owned a big textile mill. He decided the textile mill needed a boost and decided to make camo. I have yet to meet a person that wouldn't make money doing something they loved if they could. Most of us are not that lucky or determined. Chuck is a journalist. He decided he loved hunting and was going to try and provide for himself and his family writing about his passion. Sure they're in it for the money. It's the American way and they're good at it. More power to them. They never have to worry about work interfering with their hunting.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

what never ceases to amaze me is how folks can pit competition against others (be it bowhunter against bowhunter, competing with pics, whatever, is that truely why you hunt?)...guess it comes from being good at what you do and others jealous they aint doing it! I dont like the chuckie syndrom, but I sure do respect that man for what he has done! Never met either of them, really dont plan on it...maybe somedays. Just keep in mind, they were there shorts like the rest of us <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>!

3D4PSE, Paul Brunner used to own &quot;Screaming Eagle&quot; treestands. I have met him in person, and he is the greatest archer/hunter of all time. If you don`t believe me, just ask Paul!
As far as Jordan vs. Adams goes, I have met both of them, and know people who know quit a bit about them. Just my opinion, but at least jordan admits that his hand is held on some of his hunts. If you consider that a bad thing. That is how he makes his living. I don`t have enough time to type what I know of the help adams gets in taking his conquests. And he does make his living from shooting this animals. If you had people scouting for world records all over the world, then calling easton to get you on a plane in a hurry, you could shoot some records, too!
