Looks like Hoyts 1 1/2 cam idea, came from darton' s CPS system. take a gander at this. GO DARTON!

Yup, and Darton borrowed their one cam technology from Mathews, who borrowed it from the dynabo, and their two cam technology from Mr. Allen. Of course so has everyone, so who really cares as long as they keep improving the design

I don' t care either fletchhead, but I do think yoyt should have givin a little credit to darton since their idea of the cam/ 1/2 came from darton' s CPS system. but instead, Hoyt wants to take all the credit . I guess they were just too proud to admit they had to borrow technology from another company.
this is what I' ve heard, don' t know if it' s true or not.

If you really get down to it.Darton didn' t invent the technology either. They were the first to use it but they didn' t invent it.From the info I have read over at Archery talk.com the idea and patent belonged to the guy that made the bowflex machine.(I think).I believe Darton purchased the rights but not sure about that either.

I' m sure Len or someone else may be able to elaborate a bit more.
