Nope, DL doesn't change with what release you use...it still attaches to the string in the same spot....It will most likely change your anchor point a little bit, but that is the only difference I have seen since I changed from a wrist strap to a thumb release...

IF,your anchor changes, your draw length has changed.Either for the good or for the bad.

It will not change much more than a 1/2" in any direction with any style release you choose to use but it will change. This is because of shoulder load(bone to bone contact) and elbow positioning. As well as anchors.

If I am being serious about it,I will need to shoot a 1/2" longer draw with my BT release and my carter Fits Me too than I do with my Short & Sweet II.I prefer the Short & Sweet so I shoot a 1/2" shorter draw.

What I have found is there are no truly good "cheap" thumb releases. All that "I" have seen have WAY too much trigger travel. There are plenty of GREAT thumb releases but they are expensive.

You honestly don't want to know when your release is going to go off. That is what causes people to punch shoot, then usually develops into some sort of target panic or lock up on the target. Back tension isn't for everybody, but it takes a dedicated 3-6 months of doing it to get decent enough at it to reap the benefits. A good thumb trigger like the Stans, or carters will work better for target use.

That Super Trio is a great release. Try and practice squeezing that trigger, like shooting a rifle off sandbags.

Well, in our 3D league we were in the top 3 all season until I shot the wall a few times last night. I bought this release:

I love it, but I had a stupid idea that I could shoot it only having practiced for 30 minutes before league and do well. The travel needed to be adjusted and I needed to change my form on my draw. I kept hitting my chest and sending them flying. I am sure that I will develop new habits and get better with it. It does not let me know when it goes off and that is a bad thing for now, but I am sure that this will be a good thing after I get better with it. Testing various techniques and settings still.

I am going to give a month to see where it goes. I am already release less into the wall with my travel adjustment.
