I know exactly how that feels,on Jan 1sthad the chair break in a tripod stand in texas-fell 12ft and landed staight on top ofmy head.Unbelievably I only ended up with 5 staples in my head, a very sore neck and my left half of my left hand is still numb.probably going to have an MRI done-Doc thinks I have a ruptered disc.I'll take that compared to the alternative!!

Actually there Is a such thing as a tree that won't permit one, at least for me there was this fall. My portable hang on stands that I make myself can go In trees that can have a good lean to them. I adjust the angle of the stand so Its flat and not leaning with the angle of the tree. The the 2 trees I was In this fall both leaned back and thus the harness was way to short that connects me to the tree. My feet were close to the tree but my upper body and head were way to far away.

Has anyone here ever given thought to how you will extricate or relieve pressure from your extremities within 20 minutes. That is about how much time you have (I have been told), before you will start losing conciousness.

Jeff (early in) already Informed me on what to get for extensions. Honestly I had no Idea you could get extensions for these. I'll look Into this REI place too. Thanks again Joe!

UPDATE!
Guys, I am just now getting close to a full recovery an feel lucky. My shoulder still is a little tender. I figure in about a month or so should be close to a full recovery.
The reason for this update. Just a reminder to consider wearing a fall device if you never have before. I will have one on this coming season.
