Default Tag Soup or a Spiker???????

Last hunt of the year .....you have not put any venison in the freezer and noone has given you any ....... the last 15 minutes of your season, a fat spiker shows up by himself and stops 18 yards away, broadside ...... do you take him or end the season with zero venison?

I know that some of you guys hunt where doe abound and it's almost impossible for you to comprehend the question .... but if ya wanna play, you have to put yourself in the situation ......not change it

Leave him go, he's survived a long time at that point, he's earned his pass to next season. I'll go buy some beef.

PT, what kind of poll only has one option?
I still voted for the spike, though. No way am I going without at least one deer in the freezer. Sorry, but the little fella is toast.

Tag soup.

I eat venison because it tstes a lot like beef, to me (just had two venison burger manwiches). I can as easily use beef!

He's earned his pass.

I love deer meat too much to eat tag soup. I'm shooting.

I voted tag soup Tony with out a problem. However some day I will shoot a big spike (at least 6" spikes) and a big forky (has to have big forks) and also a big 6 point just so I can put them on my wall. I haven't seen any big spikes, big forks, big 6 points that I would put on my wall yet that I've had In range.

Off topic (sorry PT), but I eat venison for the exact opposite reason - it doesn't taste like beef. It's better.... much better.
