I live in Illinois and I think that early season was hurt by the amount of crops that were still in and during gun season the number of hunters went way down. I just dont think that there are as many people hunting this year. I also think some areas are starting to see the effect of EHD on the mature bucks.

My sightings this year also have gone way down.
