Default Broadheads for elk?

Ok guys I'm going on an elk trip either this year or next year and I wanna try looking at some broadheads. I won't be able to shoot my rages at them so I have to go with a fixed blade. What do you broadheads do you guys use for elk?

Any sturdy fixed head should be fine. Slick trick, muzzy, thunderheads, magnus, montecs, etc.

You can tune your bow and arrow to most decent BHs...but it is trial and error...each bow/shooter combo is unique.

Start with a reputable head that is a known producer (Muzzy, G5, Magnus, Slicktrick) and go from there.

If/when I go elk hunting, Ill be toting the same setup I use on whitetails (currently G5 strikers).

If your bow is tuned well it should shoot just about any head. The only thing I would recomend is to spin test the arrows. If the head has a wobble on the arrow...it probablly won't fly that great.

I shoot 125 grain thunderhead 3 blades.. They've done the trick on Elk, Bear, and Deer..
