So who is king of the bow hill this year???

Hey Jeff, I think Ruger' s low brace height on the model years you mention made them harder to shoot, accurately.

I know, I know. Off topic. But I couldn' t resist.

Its funny how a simple question turns into a heated debate sometimes
. I shoot a Renegade and a Darton. Why? Because these are the only bows I have found that have my comfortable draw length 33-34in, Renegades actualy go up to 35, (one of their models anyway). So if you ask me who is King of The Hill? Its the company that produces the bow that has a wider range of adjustments, not the bow that costs more or more people shoot, Besides I found out that some of the bows mentioned above are actually kind of heavy, even Mathews. Renegades actually lighter and ALOT cheaper (And I dont mean made cheaper).
But to each his own............................. Good Luck This Year!!

Not to be off topic JeffB, but my brother' s #1 in 220 Swift was not as accurate as my 77V Swift but the prairie dogs on my relative' s farm sure couldn' t tell
. Ruger hasn' t yet made the rifle I want yet[:@] A #1 stainless in 45-70 with a heavy 30 inch octagon barrell and a carlo walnut stock
But I' m waiting! If they do, I might hunt deer with a gun just for fun, you know the Quigly thing[

The limb pocket improvement is a marketing scam there old pockets had a tight limb fit just like the new ones but were the tolerance problem is, is where the pocket slide over the riser which would be poket to riser fit take a look at yours !

OK, no royalties being paid. Enough differences to cover it.
Back to the original question of who is this years king of the hill?
Well, looking at the results from the first three ASA shoots, and all three NFAA indoors, um, um........

I just recently aquired a Renegade Trophy Rac Plus. Up until now a Q2 has been about as sweet a bow as I have shot, but this Renegade might beat it when I get it tuned to me and my draw. Its ultra quiet and just has that " feel" of a good shooting bow. I' ll make a post when I fine tune it.

Every bow on the market is King of the Hill in my opinion. Each of us are different in many ways from each other so it is logical that for some it may be the Hoyt, for some PSE, for others peraps the Patriot. For each of us, our bows are king of the hill. My king just happens to be the Mathews FX . . . cause it fits well and shoots GREAT and IT WORKS FOR ME!
However I am not going to knock another manufacturers product because for someone, it is their King of the Hill.
