I'd say that just the fact that she's getting all pissy is a bad sign for a long term relationship. Go early if she's still pissy when you get back then so be it. If she's ok when you get back all the better BUT...............this is a HUGE strike against her when it comes time to evaluate the relationship to determine if she is worth dealing with LONG TERM.
If she were your commited S.O. or god forbid WIFE, and you and your dad WON a trip to hunt & fish Alaska how would she react? It sounds like to me her reaction would not be positive.
Keep her as a GF but in my mind this relationship is going nowhere long term!

Send her flowers the day you leave and then send her flowers the day before you get home. It will put her in a good mood the day you leave and right before you get back if she gets flowers again, you should be in good shape. She know your thinking about her when your at deer camp (I never do, but they can think that!) Flowers go a long way with the ladies and got me out of some deep trouble!!! By the way, preorder so you don't have to worry about it when your hunting!!
I think that since we buy women flowers and stuff when we make them mad, they should buy us a new scope or maybe some new camo. I guess I'll keep dreaming though....

If you have been planning all year to leave on Saturday, maybe she assumed you would do something special with her on Friday?? You trade days at work for hunting. Have you ever done that to do something with her or for her? Do you do things that make her feel as important to you as your hobbies? Just some food for thought. Good luck on both your trip and your relationship.
