But the fact that you're pushing SICK KE and not getting pass-thrus concerns me.
What does a pass thru offer that an exit hole doesn't? Honest question this time.

I too retired my rages to turkey heads, just a personal phobia of mechs right now, carry them but always reach for my strikers.

Nothing, "really". ONLY thing I can think of is the arrow still being in the hole and blocking "some" blood flow/loss.

The times I'm worried aboutis when you DON'T get that exit wound.

Eating crow? For what?

Good question. I actually believe that the exit hole arrow incase scenerio is the best case for blood on the ground for a further distancewhen needed (I think it is harder for the wound to get plugged up). However, some believe that an arrow inside the deer will scare a deer and drive it to go further then normal without bedding.

Now don't get me wrong, I also carry G5, Muzzy and Slick Tricks but the first arrow out of the quiver has a Snyper on it.
Why do you carry different heads with you Rob? Why not just stick with the same head?

They won't make it thru the shoulder blade either!! But none will!!

Strictly for follow up shots or coyotes, pheasants etc.. Legal game other than deer. Snypers are not as cheap as the fixed blade heads and I'm not sending a Snyper into small game or other legal game.

I have them all grouping the same so I keep a couple fixed blade heads for game other than the deer I'm shooting plus, follow up shots when a deer might be spined etc.

I have blasted through several shoulder blades over the years withboth Muzzy and Magnus heads. Certainly not the preferred shot placement, but NO WAY you can say it can't be done.

Shot one large doe last year with the Rage 2-blade,did not get a pass thru. I assumed I had hit the opposite leg bone, now I guess I'm not sure. I haven't discarded them, but I am using the Slick Trick 125's this year.
